I was excited to check out today's opening of the new Mission Bay library -- the first new branch in 40 years! -- today. It's a nice space and convenient enough to work and home that weaning myself off of Amazon.com + prime shipping should be painless.
Books I borrowed today:
I've been thinking that I should start using the library more often, but I am convenience challenged. It's easy enough to reserve a book through the library's online catalog, but then I have to go and pick it up. The downtown location is close, but off my beaten path. So instead I end up ordering the book from Amazon and it shows up 2 days later. Convenient, except that I don't really need to own as many books as I do. This is a roundabout way of saying that I'm super excited that the Mission Bay branch is opening July 8th, close enough to work and home that I'll use it regularly. Hooray!
