How much does it cost?
The Nike +iPod sport kit costs $29.
What does that include?
The kit includes the sensor (the part that goes inside your shoe, or in my case, inside your shoe pocket) and the receiver which fits in the dock connector of your iPod nano.
Do I have to buy Nike + shoes in order to use the kit?
No. I put the sensor in a shoe pocket attached to my Brooks running shoe and it works just fine. It's probably a good idea to make sure your sensor fits in the pocket snuggly for accuracy.
How accurate is it?
I found the kit to be sufficiently accurate without custom calibration when compared to mapping my route with walkjogrun.net. Instructions are included on how to calibrate the kit yourself.
